Retirement

I never realized just how much life would open up when I stopped work. It sounds silly, because to many it must be obvious that not going to work would free up time for other things, but you hear about people not wanting to retire, or being bored, but I love the fact that I cook better meals, bake etc., walk extensively in our lovely countryside, read, write and learn new skills (mastered that darned sewing machine!). And what’s exciting is that I can think of quite a few things I haven’t tried yet that I really want to do. Arthritis and Sjogrens flares are not going to be an obstacle – 2014 is going to be a really good year. After all we’ve got a wedding to look forwards to!
