Amateur in lots of things and master of none! My interests include writing, walking, gardening and dog training. I also enjoy a bit of DIY. I am an early-retired primary school teacher, happily married and proud Mum of two adult sons. Love history and heritage …
I want to improve my writing and this blog offers me an opportunity to share some of my thoughts and observations through records of walks and events and some short stories and poetry. It may not fill up quickly – or be that meaningful to anyone but me, but it gives me an outlet for my hopes and worries. Some of it will be in diary form and I hope that someone finds my ramblings interesting. I invite your comments, particularly if they are constructive and supportive of my efforts to become a better writer and communicator.
I have written about 40,000 words of my children’s book. It is aimed at the 9-12 year old age group and is set here in Cornwall, by the sea. I have tried a few agents with no luck so far, but I am undaunted and am revising the first few chapters in order to capture their imaginations.
If I haven’t put you off already, please read on.
